ESPG Permaculture Day Fruit Fly Traps & garden visit
Please check with the event organiser, as due to social distancing guidelines, event may be cancelled or may happen online instead.We’re a keen bunch of suburban permies. We usually meet the first Sunday afternoon each month, touring a private permaculture garden or property and enjoying a shared BYO lunch, often containing homegrown ingredients.
For international Permaculture Day we’re meeting in Ashburton, and focusing on Fruit Fly, an important topic for backyard & farm food growers! We’ll learn about and make fruit fly traps.
Arrive by 1pm for handheld lunch & garden tour
2-3pm making traps & discussing Queensland fruit fly
3-4pm hot drinks and plant & food swap
BRING:
- handheld nibbles/lunch
materials to make fruit fly traps: 1-litre plastic bottles if you have them (with lids preferred) – one per 5 metres of garden; - pointy scissors if you have them to make holes in bottles;
