Sunday Skillshare – Essential oil workshop with Kensington Oil Distillery

Join us for our first workshop of the year and learn the art of small-batch essential oil distillation.
Kensington Oil Distillery, a local company, will teach us the full distillation process. You’ll walk away knowing how to turn plant materials into hydrosol (floral water) and essential oil.
What you’ll learn
At this hands-on workshop you’ll learn how to:
- prepare plant material
- use a still
- complete a distillation
- separate oil from water.
They’ll also cover essential care and cleaning practices to keep a still in top condition.
You’ll take home
- A sample of the product you made.
- A list of plants that are easy to use for making oils.
- Skincare recipes you can try at home.
This class is great for beginners or anyone who loves essential oils. It is a rare chance to learn how to make these oils and how to use them.
