ESPG monthly gathering
Please check with the event organiser, as due to social distancing guidelines, event may be cancelled or may happen online instead.In 1985, the Knox Environment Society established what is believed to be one of the first nurseries for indigenous plants in Australia. The nursery is completely volunteer-run and most of the income from plant sales goes back into the community for environmental campaigns and projects.
We’ll meet here are 10.30 and a KES member will give us a tour and background on this great nursery and how it operates. After the nursery we’ll head to a nearby cafe or pub for lunch if we wish.
BYO: Weather-appropriate clothes; a mug for hot drinks (provided by the nursery); money if you wish to buy indigenous plants.
The nursery is located beside the Ferntree Gully Library car park; the entrance road is off Burwood Highway between Glenfern Road and Brenock Park Drive.
